Host of the 2019 NSW Weta State titles, Speers Point Amateur Sailing Club has ample parking, a large, grassed rigging area and two wide ramps for launching and retrieving dinghies and catamarans using beach-trolleys. There is ample parking for cars and trailers as well as secure parking for boats.
The SPASC clubhouse is situated at the northern end of Lake Macquarie, surrounded by the green spaces of Speers Point Park. With sweeping views from the upper deck, it provides an ideal vantage for relaxing after races and enjoying the sunset barbecue. The club has a well stocked bar and Pipis at the Point bistro is just across the road.
And for non-sailors there is a public swimming pool in the park, a kids playground, numerous bike trails around the lake, waterside cafe’s and restaurants at Warners Bay, Shopping in Charlestown Square (including a Cinema) and surfing at nearby coastal beaches.
